Frequently Asked Questions
What if my player can't skate?
Most people who are learning to play hockey have minimal skating experience. Our coaches are prepared to teach players the basics and help them advance. Western Park offers open skate times during the week, players are encouraged to use that time for extra practice.
How can I volunteer to help on my players team or with AVAHA?
AVAHA is always in need of great volunteers. Our hockey association would not happen if it wasn't for our volunteers. Coaching, managing, scorekeeping, board members, fundraising efforts are all areas of need. Please see our volunteer page for more information.
